	HOME > Operator Safety Training > Corporate Training Overhead Crane Training This course is designed for both new and experienced operators covering theoretical and practical overhead crane principles. This company-specific training is conducted at the client location and instructs participants on the use of crane equipment at their facility. Upon completion of the practical examination, successful participants will receive an Overhead Crane Operation Certificate as proof of certification. Course Duration: 4 hour theory, approx. 1 hour practical (depending on experience, new operators my require more time) 10 student maximum per session Course Content: Theoretical Introduction Occupational Health and Safety Act Industrial Establishments - Regulation 851 Crane and Sling Inspection Basic Principles: Overhead Crane Design/Operation Hitch and Sling Angles Hardware and Attachment Lifting (specific to application) Crane Safety Hand Signals (if required) Turning Loads (if required) Evaluation (written test) Practical Hands-on Training and Application Safe Operating Techniques Dealing with Company Specific Hazards Evaluation (practical test)   back to courses
